National Playing Career

Frank Farina played 37 games scoring 10 goals as a striker in the Senior National Team before retiring from international competition in 1993.

Individual Playing Career

He started his National League career with the Canberra Arrows in 1983 and also played for Sydney United and Marconi Fairfield. He then mpved overseas to played for Belgium side Club Brugge and he also played for Bari in Italy and Strasboug and Lille in France.
       
He won many individual titles in Australia including Player of the Year, Leading Goalscorer and Most Entertaining Player. Internationally he won Best Foreign Player Award in Belgium and Leading Goalscorer in 1991.
       He was also winner of the Oceania Footballer of the Year Award in 1988 and he was runner up in 1989 and 1990. He was also runner up to
Wynton Rufer in the Award for Oceania Footballer of the Century.

Coaching Career

Frank Farina made his coaching debut with the
Brisbane Strikers in the 1996/97 Australian National League Season. He than lead his team to Grand Final Success against Sydney United in 1997. He then lead the Marconi Stallions into the Final Series in the 1998/99 competition.
        Frank was appointed Senior National Team Coach in August 1999. He recieved an OAM in the Australia Day Honours for his contribution to Australian soccer.
